Brand New EP written and performed by Polly Morris

The first new music from Polly Morris for 4 years, Random Clothing and a Song is a joyous mix of songs to make you smile. Featuring arrangements by Kate Hunter the EP was recorded at Blue Room Studios with Jon Sweet.

The EP kicks off with a song about finding that the Jeans that used to be too big for you, as a sad result of too much cake and chocolate, now fit you far too well! Clarinet by Joel Solomons, Guitar by Mark Patrick and Drums by Andy Brotherton together with vibrant harmonies give this number real drive.

The second number, Pyjamas, tells the story of a day, familiar to all working parents, which starts off badly and gets steadily worse.  This song is accompanied by Paul Thomas on guitar.

Knickers and Bras is not quite as revealing a song as the title might suggest.  It is a true story about a town in Devon and its wonderful support for one of its residents. This number features Kate Hunter on Flute and Simon Swarbrick on Violin.

The Life before the song is a simply-arranged song with guitar and vocal and is a tribute to all performers who put their heartfelt emotions into their songs, irrespective of how practised their playing is.  The idea is that you can catch a glimpse of a person’s life experience through their performance, and it is what makes live music magical!

How many people buy new footwear, or new clothes and then find that they don’t want to wear them because they are just too nice?  New Boots is for anyone who has ever done this and has the wonderful rhythms of Andy Brotherton together with a foot-stomping violin and bass from Simon Swarbrick.
