Wow! What a weekend! A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for a performance on our Mini Tour We had a fabulous few days. On Friday we were at PRIDDY FOLK FESTIVAL in Wells where we had the wonderful Rob Weatley on sound (plus his brand new ankle). Priddy is a lovely festival encompassing a whole village and packed full of brilliant stewards. There were many other fabulous artists performing at the festival so we were deeply grateful to our lovely audience for choosing us and walking up the hill to find us at the Village Hall . We had a wonderful time! We must also give a shout out to the Sarah Mooney trio who performed before us – storytelling and music with poetry made up on the spot – really engaging! Lovely also to see the fabulous John and Fran in the audience.
We zoomed to Hampshire (I say zoomed..I was stuck behind a flashing lorry towing another lorry for so long that the rest of the band gave up and went home another way). ROMSEY BEGGARS FAIR in Romsey was as welcoming as ever at the White Horse and we had a wonderful gig in the beautiful Saturday sunshine. Massive thanks to the people who turned up to see us including Janet Green and Ukulele Friends, Kim and Burl & Paul and Ali
Shout out to Jeremy Legg who was helping out all weekend and was our fabulous sound man in Romsey. He also took most of the photos! Thanks Jeremy!
Sunday was all about RUSTIC STOMP which is in an idyllic setting overlooking Corfe Castle with a really chilled out crowd ready to have a good time. Thank you to Hawkeye for booking us and to Tom our awesome sound man on the Dark Holler Stage. It was lovely to finish off the day performing to the lovely folk sitting on hay bales.
Next week is Bridport Folk Festival where I will be giving the band a bit of a break and performing solo
Love to all x
Polly
