What a fabulous time we had on Sunday at the sell-out Launch of “Am I an Alien?”. A Massive thank you to my wonderful musicians – Brian Harries, Kate Hunter, Mandy Stansfield, Bob Carter, Paul Thomas and Ray Russell for taking my mad ideas and turning them into reality.
Thank you to the Allendale Café who turned their layout up-side down for the launch, to the ever-patient Jeremy Legg for taking on the sound and to Annette Sherry for helping on the door and merch table.
Most of all, a massive thank you to our wonderful audience, many of whom wore their alien head bobbles throughout the whole concert (such stamina!). It is impossible to perform without smiling when you are facing a sea of wobbling, green and silver head bobbles. I now think they should be obligatory at every gig! We were blown away by the support from you all and there was a real atmosphere of togetherness. As one audience member, Lawrence, said,“ It made me rethink my ideas about performance – there was such a wonderful sense of community in the room!”
A huge thank you to Neil King who, alongside being the editor of Fatea Magazine that gives a voice to so many independant musicians, is also a superb photographer and kindly took the fabulous shots below so that you can have a taste of what went on.
I am So proud of the album and hope that you like it too! To hear or download the music do go to my albums page or follow this link https://pollymorris.bandcamp.com/album/am-i-an-alien.
